PhD economist Frank Huber at the Erasmus University looked at how many charities seem to overestimate their impact. Partly because they do not measure what would have happened if their intervention had not taken place.

Not to give the end away, but the researcher concludes that “still little is known about the impact of the projects of charities. An important reason for this is that it is very complicated in order to determine the impact of a project”. Which is very true.
